Boost your Bonsai skills

From refining your pruning and wiring techniques to deepening your understanding of design, horticulture and long-term tree development, every session is built around developing both the artist and the tree. Training sessions are rooted in more than 30 years of experience and a genuine passion for teaching.

You’ll also gain practical knowledge about:

  • Growing from raw material – how to identify potential and shape it over time

  • Caring for mature trees – seasonal maintenance, health checks and refinements

  • Working with the right tools – guidance on equipment for all levels

  • Tree types and species – understanding the differences and how to approach them

Group Bonsai Workshops

A relaxed setting to learn, practise and grow together.

Join Caz in her peaceful bonsai garden for a full-day workshop with like-minded bonsai lovers. These small group sessions are designed to ensure you get individual support and expert feedback throughout the day.

Each workshop focuses on seasonal tasks like styling, pruning, wiring, and repotting. Caz works closely with each participant to help grow your confidence and get the best out of your trees.

One-to-One Bonsai Tuition

For those who want a deeper, more tailored learning experience, Caz offers intensive one-to-one bonsai coaching. These sessions are ideal for anyone looking to refine advanced techniques or focus on the specific development of their own trees.

These full-day sessions give you her undivided attention—guiding you through everything from design theory to advanced styling and maintenance.

Bonsai Talks & Demonstrations

Engaging events for clubs, societies, and bonsai communities.

Caz is an experienced demonstrator and speaker, having given talks and workshops across the UK, Europe, America, and Australia. Whether you’re organising a local bonsai club event or a regional show, she brings clarity, energy and deep knowledge to every session.

Choose from informal talks, hands-on demos or fully interactive workshops. Topics can be tailored to your group’s interest and skill level.

Bonsai Mentoring & Apprenticeship

Take the next step in your bonsai journey.

Caz offers a limited number of apprenticeship placements each year. These week-long, highly intensive programmes are held two to three times per year and are designed for committed bonsai practitioners. Apprentices train using Caz’s own high-quality specimen and sales trees, with some opportunities to work on personal material as well.

You’ll need a solid understanding of horticulture and basic bonsai techniques to apply. In return, you’ll receive in-depth mentoring and training designed to elevate your practice to a whole new level.
